We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our guests due to land at CVG later today.
Marina Musa Nakhleh Hanhan, the principal at the National Patriarchal College Al-Ashrafieh in Amann, Jordan, will be instrumental in bringing administrators of LP schools into the loop of Talents Unlimited training. She will work on preparing a presentation for administrators so that they will understand the program and support teachers who are being trained.
Marina lives with her mom. She has one brother, one sister and five nieces and nephews. She enjoys reading, singing, traveling and shopping.
Amal and Marina
Amal M. D. Al-Thubian is an English teacher at the National Patriarchal College Al-Misdar. Amal is on track to become a certified trainer for Talents by December of this year. This will allow her to train teachers in Jordan. She will assist Kelly Lomax with the initial training of teachers this Friday and Saturday at All Saints School. When she returns home she will submit lesson plans and student samples to build her portfolio and complete her training.
Amal is married, she and her husband have four boys: Joseph (15), Ibrahim (11), Adam (7), and Jacob (2). She enjoys sightseeing, meeting new people, and of course shopping! She is looking forward to improving her teaching techniques and learning more about the Talents program to share with many teachers in Jordan.
Kelly Lomax is the International Director of Talents Unlimited and a dear friend for countless reasons of HOPE! Kelly will be training Amal and other teachers of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati as well as helping Marina to prepare a presentation on Talents to present in Jordan to other LP principals. Kelly also will be observing Amal using Talents in the classroom while she is here.
Kelly and her husband Rusty and have a daughter Avery who is 23 and getting married October 23rd, a son Preston who is 21 and getting married on May 10th, and a daughter Sophie who is 16. Kelly has been quite busy with wedding planning as well as completing her doctorate in Curriculum and Assessment. She loves spending time with her family, traveling and going to the beach as often as possible!
