HOPEUC
On Thursday,  Fr. Faysal  and Suha Haddadin met with HOPE board members (Nancy Hemminger, Tim McManus, Sharon Bohlen and Judy Maly), Kelly Lomax of Talents Unlimited, and the  faculty of the University of Cincinnati College of Education to discuss progress on an on-going project in which UC, through their Department of Special Education, provides strategies and resources for teachers to meet the needs of students with post traumatic stress behaviors and  learning delays.
Dr. Steve Kroger shared his plan for a uniform approach for teachers. Dr. Kroger and Dr. Holly Johnson will travel to the Holy Land in spring, 2016 and spend several weeks working with the LPS teachers implementing the plan.  Angie Ferguson also introduced UC’s Teacher Leadership Program, a model of Professional Learning Communities whereby teachers work together to identify, strategize, and solve problems.  This may be a program for the future benefit of the LPS schools.
