Talents Unlimited is synonymous with team work and Kelly Lomax, International Project Director of Talents Unlimited, is finding this out first-hand. “We had a FANTASTIC first day!! Lots of amazing conversations and plenty of laughter. Our conversation of Talents application resulted in Nadia agreeing to MODEL a lesson at a middle school Monday morning so we can film it!!! I’m so excited!! These ladies are such awesome educators and truly understand Talents! I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!”

Nadia’s and Wafa have completed three Talents training courses and now have begun courses that will allow them to train teachers in the Holy Land in Talents. first courses to become Talents trainers. Jane Welling, former Principal at St. Mary School in Hyde Park and a Certified Talents Trainer, went to Nablus, Palestine in 2012 and 2014 to give in-service training to Nadia, Wafa and many additional educators from the Latin Patriarchate School throughout the West Bank. Joining Jane in 2012 was Jen Reker, kindergarten teacher at St. Mary School and Certified Talents Trainer.

In addition to the training, Nadia and Wafa submitted monthly lesson plans for one year to Jane Welling for evaluation and feed back. Abeer Hanna, Principal at St. Joseph School in Nablus, who after receiving training herself in Cincinnati by former Talents Director, Lynn Huey and Jane Welling, asked that this program be brought to Nablus for her staff. Fr. Faysal Hijazen, Superintendent of the Latin Patriarchate Schools in the West Bank agreed to support this project because it will benefit many children. After Nadia and Wafa become Trainers of Talents, they will return to the West Bank to educate other teachers for the benefit of hundreds of children.
