On Tuesday May 28, the high school teachers from the LPS schools met with Mt. Notre Dame High School sophomores. The teachers gave a presentation about the Catholic schools in the Holy Land which included statistics and photos.  Then, each teacher sat at a table with a small group of students to share about life in their homeland and answer any questions the girls had.

The students had fun posing for photos with Miss Nuha, the ‘short teacher.’  Some of the MND athletes towered over her, and we all had a good laugh!

Students also sampled traditional Arabic food including pita bread, hummus, zaatar, and dates.  It was a session of faith, fellowship, friendship and widening their understanding of the world.  This encounter also built upon the sophomore retreat theme of “The danger of a single story.”

During lunch, teachers discussed ways to twin with their partner teachers, incorporating Talents Unlimited strategies into their twinning lessons.  After lunch, we toured Christo Rey high school.

The Elementary teachers visited Holy Family School, St William School and St Dominic School.
