RELEASE – The Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, His Excellency Archbishop-elect Pierbattista Pizzaballa issued yesterday a decision appointing Fr. Iyad Twal as Director General of the Latin Patriarchate Schools in Palestine and Israel.

It is worth noting that Fr. Iyad had previously served the Parish of Birzeit, the Pariarchal Seminary, as well as the parishes of Zababdeh & Beit Sahour. He earned a Ph.D. in Theoretical Philosophy and Political Philosophy. He was later appointed as Head of the Religious Studies at the University of Bethlehem, and Professor of Philosophy at the same University.

The Latin Patriarchate – including bishops, priests and deacons – wish Fr. Iyad success in his new mission. It prays for his sake, expressing to the team of the General Directorate of the Latin Patriarchate Schools its best wishes for the new school year 2016/2017.
