Fr. Faysal, Saad Rahhal, Waseim Kasabry of the LPS, with Nancy Hemminger, Ann Andriacco and JoAnne Lacey of HOPE, met with Karen Matuszek, Director of the House System of Moeller High School, and Moeller students to learn more about their House System.
The House System is an alternative form of student governance where students from all grades are divided into separate groups called Houses. This system increases pastoral care of each student, provides opportunities to build personal and collegial relationships, and encourages every student to develop as a leader.
After Karen described the House system, the students answered questions about it. The students talked about the brotherhood that the House system creates, and the bonds between students, as well as between students and their teachers. Father Faysal was so impressed with the passion in which the students spoke of the House system, that he invited all of them to visit the Latin Patriarchate schools in the Holy Land!
